Warriors vs Clippers

Warriors vs Clippers Live

Join us Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for all the live scoring, news and analysis as the Warriors hope to put the Clippers on the brink of elimination in Game 4 of their first-round Western Conference playoff series in Los Angeles.

The Warriors used a sterling effort Thursday night to erase memories of their Game 2 collapse and grab a 2-1 series edge over L.A. with a 132-105 victory. But can they avoid a letdown and duplicate that effort in Game 4?

Golden State answered all of its critics following a Game 2 meltdown that saw it blow a 31-point lead and lose by dominating the Clippers throughout Game 3, buoyed by Kevin Durant’s outstanding effort. The two-time NBA Finals MVP shook of pesky Patrick Beverley and the Clippers’ defensive gimmicks to score 38 points in Thursday’s win.

Also, Andrew Bogut turned in a superb performance to soften the blow — at least for one game — of losing DeMarcus Cousins for the remainder of the playoffs to injury. The Aussie center had 14 rebounds and five assists to to with eight points as he solidified the defense and helped keep the offense clicking with his screens and passes.

The Clippers, who won Game 2 on the strength of reserves Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, desperately need those two to dominate again to have a shot for another upset victory on Sunday. Williams was held to 16 points on 4-of-11 shooting in Game 3, mostly due to Andre Iguodala’s hounding defensive efforts.

One brightspot in Game 3’s loss for L.A. was center Ivica Zubac’s 18-point showing as he dominated the paint. However, all of his points came during garbage time and Golden State’s backups, so it remains to be seen if he can pose issues for the Warriors in crunch time.
